The Cleistocactus strausii commonly known as the Silver Torch Cactus, is a tall, columnar cactus covered in a dense layer of silvery-white spines, giving it a striking, frosty appearance. This cold-hardy, drought-tolerant species thrives in rock gardens, xeriscapes, and large containers. Known for its vibrant red, tubular flowers, which bloom in late summer. These blooms appear on mature plants, often growing in clusters along the sides of the stems rather than at the top, creating a unique floral display.
