After arrival
Unpack carefully and place in bright light. If indoors, set near the brightest window (south or west-facing). Handle gently, small offsets can detach; if they do, set them on dry cactus soil and they’ll root.

Transplant tip
If you repot, choose a well-draining 4–5" container with a gritty cactus mix. Avoid oversized pots. Keep the first watering light after planting.

Cacti can look slightly dull after a few days in a dark box. Color returns within a week or two of bright light. If your area drops below 40F, we recommend adding a heat pack to your order, as one is not automatically included.

Growth Habit: Clumping, cluster-forming cactus that produces small rounded stems covered in white, star-like spines. Offsets easily and forms dense mounds.


Bloom Season: Spring, can produce tiny cream-white flowers when given strong light.


Dormancy: Slows growth in winter; needs very little water during this period.

  • Fertilizer: Optional, use a diluted cactus fertilizer once a month in spring and summer.
