The Lemon Ball Cactus, also known as Parodia leninghausii, is a golden-spined beauty that brings warmth and charm to any space. It’s easy to grow, beginner-friendly, and thrives in full sun with minimal care. This soft-looking cactus can tolerate temperatures down to 20°F and slowly grows into a tall, clumping column. In summer, mature plants may bloom with bright yellow flowers, adding a cheerful pop of color to your garden or container.

Please Note: Our collection includes bare-root WITHOUT any soil or pot and cuttings. Some of our plants may have minor scars, yet each one is guaranteed to arrive in optimal health and excellent condition. Additionally, any discoloration at the base of the cactus, particularly in rooted variants, is a typical result of previous planting in soil.

Cactus Care & FAQs

✔ After Arrival: Let your Lemon Ball Cactus acclimate in a shaded, dry area for a few days before planting. Use a well-draining cactus mix, such as sandy soil with added perlite or pumice. Avoid watering for the first week to help it adjust.

✔ Long-Term Care: Place in full sun for the best growth. Water deeply but only when the soil is completely dry, typically every 2-3 weeks in warm months and even less in winter. Protect from hard frost (below 20°F) by bringing it indoors or covering it during extreme cold.

  • Shipping Schedule: We ship orders every Monday and Thursday. Place your order by 8:00 AM (PST) on these days to ship the same day. Orders after 8:00 AM will ship on the next shipping day.
