What to expect in the box
You will receive the exact Indian Comb cactus pictured, approx 14 in tall with its basal pup, shipped rooted and bare root without soil or a pot. After arrival: unbox with gloves, let the plant rest in a shaded, dry spot for 2 to 3 days, then plant in sandy, fast-draining soil at the same depth it grew before. Wait about a week before the first watering, then water deeply and let the soil dry out completely between waterings.

Cacti can look slightly dull after a few days in a dark box. Color returns within a week or two of bright light. If your area drops below 40F, we recommend adding a heat pack to your order, as one is not automatically included.

This is the exact plant you will receive. A one of a kind, field-grown Trichocereus brevispinulosus, the Indian Comb cactus, also called the Indian Cob or Corn Cob cactus. The main column stands approximately 14 inches tall and 2.5 to 3 inches thick (measured against the ruler in the photos, approximate) and carries a healthy 2 inch offset pup at the base, with a full, established root system.

The Indian Comb is loved for its tight, knobby ribs lined with neat rows of short spines, a clean corncob texture you can see up close in the photos. It is a fast, easy grower that eventually forms a clustering column 6 to 8 feet tall, and mature plants throw huge white night-blooming flowers.

Full sun, fast-draining soil, and soak and dry watering are all it asks for.
