Description

The Agave medio-pica alba commonly known as the White Striped Century Plant, is a medium-sized agave with variegated foliage. This is a slow-growing and drought-tolerant plant with blue-green leaves and a white central stripe. This plant is Native to Mexico and usually takes about a decade to bloom, producing offsets that can be replanted. 

Please Note: All agave plants in our collection are shipped bare-root, without soil or pots. While some plants may have minor scars, we guarantee they will arrive in excellent condition and optimal health. Additionally, any discoloration at the base of the plant, especially in rooted varieties, is a normal result of prior planting in soil.

✔ After Arrival: Let your Agave medio-picta 'Alba' rest in a shaded, dry area for a few days before planting. Use a well-draining cactus mix, such as sandy soil with added perlite or pumice. Avoid watering for the first week to help it adjust.

✔ Long-Term Care: Place in full sun to partial shade for the best color and growth. Water deeply but only when the soil is completely dry, typically every 2-3 weeks in warm months and even less in winter. Protect from hard frost (below 15°F) by bringing it indoors or covering it in extreme cold.

✔ Hardiness Zone: 8-11
